The DDC is an addictive Digimon forum game where you can choose your own Digimon partner. Battle with it in one of our exploration areas to level it up, gain new attacks, and then Digivolve them to stronger levels. You can also catch other Digimon to build up your team, or save up your bits to create your own custom Digimon, known as Fanmon. Everything is manually done here. We have many friendly helpers ready to help you out with your battles!
Hi everyone. This is my first post! So I'm Heinz and it's nice to meet you.
I do like roleplay so that's one reason I joined this board, but another is that I've recently started to get back into the Digimon anime, specifically Adventure 02 and Tamers, mostly for reasons of nostalgia. Digimon Tamers was the first anime I ever watched from beginning to end; however I never really got that involved with anything else related to the fandom such as the games or anything like that. Later in life I sort of got into trading card games a bit, and now that I'm back watching Digimon it has me wondering--does the Digimon card game still even exist? If so, who plays it and where can you buy cards? Not to mention...how the heck do you even play it? If anyone here knows or can direct me to someone who does, I would really appreciate it.
They most likely they dont even sell the cards in america anymore because of what I heard they said that it was huge fail in america. They sell the card online though, you'll be lucky to find america cards since the cards are rare, but try amazon, ebay, craigslist, and those TCG sites. You could play digimon card battle on the psx.
I don't know how the real card game system works, but I recommend you to try out digimon card battle. The rules and the system are quite easy and fun and the game allows you to prepare some kind of tactics. It's really a very fun game indeed and the animations make it all much better. As far as I know, the system is the same so you should try out to game.
I can explain you the system of the game if you want to in case you are curious. I still remember how it was since I spent a couple of hours over it in the past. Have to play it again, actually!
And wow! Another roleplayer, cool! I hope you find your place here, I am a roleplay lover as well, so you can pretty much ask me if you want to roleplay or something. There are other roleplay lovers over here, but I'll let you meet them by yourself.
I was wondering about the decline of the card game. does anyone know any country that it's still played in. btw, I mean the original card game, not the one that worked with the DSpirit digivice games.
So... Do caterpillars know that they are going to become Butterflies, Or do they just build a cocoon and go "WTF am I doing"

Hey and welcome to DDC, heinz! And... I actually have Digimon cards. TCG ones.
I can't exactly remember where I bought it, but I think the majority of it was online. The other Digimon cards I have were passed down to be by my brother or given to me by a friend. I believe that my friend got some by digger through her house and/or going to the flea market.
How to actually play the game? There was an instruction manual in the cheap box of Digimon cards I once bought, but I don't have it anymore. It's not that complicated though. If you've ever played the Yugioh TCG or Pokemon TCG, then you won't have much trouble. I remember that when I played the game, my brother and I changed the rules a bit, but I totally remember it being fun for us.
I found nowhere where I could actually play the game with other people, though. If they knew what Digimon was, they didn't know there was a Digimon TCG. If they did know that Digimon TCG existed, they didn't have cards or didn't know how to play themselves. Pretty sad :/
I would recommend Amazon, Ebay, and Listia.

Wild Rose: And I agree with Syn. A Discord would be a good idea.

IcestarRiver: Good luck if you're going to try and revive it. Helper work was super overwhelming when I used to do it, with all the calculations and formatting, so I feel like it'd fare better being simpler, but, y'know. Not my business, really.
