Razanak, you know the saying, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."? Well, i think it applies here. Durgon had no right to do what she did without first discussing it with King and DC. I believe king is essentially right in saying that he believes in this site and that it's up to us to start rekindling the fire that will get the DDC up and running again. Yes, Durgon was originally the admin here, but she gave that up willingly when she stepped down and passed the mantle on to King. She technically has no power to say what goes on here, since she's not admin anymore. Only King and DC can do that. Long story short, I believe that we, as the users, should make our own decisions, and not force people to choose between doing one thing and choosing another.
If you're under the impression that people are free from criticism, you are sorely mistaken. No one forced anyone to do anything, and King is sending aggressive messages to Durgon in an attempt to play the victim, using every opportunity to play the admin card. The thing is, nothing she did was out of line. As the original creator, she has witnessed the initial influx of users, its temporary popularity, and eventual decline; as such, she knows as well as anyone where things are going. It really makes no difference whether or not she has "power" on this board, because you can't change facts. If your almighty admin got bored of it, then he will again without the advent of major changes.
No one was forced to do anything. Until now, at least, with you attempting to force us away with thinly-veiled bragging, blatant falsifications, and grade school philosophy. If you even read what either of us said, you would be well aware that our objective is to provide alternatives to a system that doesn't work based on what users want. You can point fingers all you want, but you can't continue to act surprised when someone points out what's plain to see; a game that had a good run, but can't continue without change. It makes no difference whether or not that person has "authority", especially when solutions to the problem are readily available and given by someone with clear investment in the well-being of the game, an understanding of both its merits and its faults, and most importantly, remains objective without letting, ahem, "power" go to their heads.
No one knows something better than the person that made it. It only became about authority, imaginary and compromising influence, and aggression after her post; when you decided it was that with no evidence or rationale, instead opting to make it personal and suck out the objectivity. So, do whatever you want. Not like you would listen, anyway.
