BT 2nd Round - Prayer98 vs Yeti576

Voithos Dome, the Dome of the guide. The spectator zone of the doom looks very similar to the other domes', however the duel zone here looks more of an old room of a hut rather than a duel stand. There are two rotten wood chairs and the trunk of a cut tree that works as a table, everything accompanied by a dense and large grass. Originally belonging to one of rooms of the Helper Training School, the chairs and the trunk were scanned and digitalized to be preserved as a memorial of the past, when the helpers had to learn a very complicated system with not a single tool or decent infrastructure to help. The chair and trunk represent the spirit of a helper and that's the main focus of this dome. What place could be better for a duel between helpers?

Reyko descends from someplace of the ceiling and stands near the trunk tree, trying to maintain himself away of the vegetation because there is a high chance a huge fire could be started if he touches one of those plants with whatever part of his flaming body. ''You know me very well, so I don't think a presentation would be necessary. I am the moderator of this battle. You better give me and the rest of the DDC a decent and interesting duel or I will eat both of you for breakfast....hehe, just kidding...', Reyko says with a grin. ''Helper vs Former-Helper....or should I call you Archiver? Whatever....Yeti and Prayer, you both are going to be the stars of the Voithos Dome! Make me feel proud of you!'', he yells finally and invites both players to sit down on the stairs. When they are close enough, they notice that the trunk has different marks where the cards and such should be put. Oh yes, they are going to use the trunk as a dueling table!

Reyko raises his right hand, signaling Yeti to start the duel and then he yells. ''It's time to duel!''

"Decisions, decisions..." I grin at my cards. "Prepare for the epicalness of my cards!" My hand is a gold-mine for me. "I'll place one card face down and play Scapecoat, allowing me to place four sheep tokens in defense, and their stats are of zero attack and defense!" One card is naturally set on the old, wooden trunk. The Scapecoat card is now in effect. "I end my turn!"

''Oh the scapecoat trick, useful to protect yourself but for nothing else. Let's see how Prayer's respond against Yeti's tricks!''

"Scapegoat huh... an interesting first move. I say, while grabbing my next card. "Heh." I snicker. "You better prepare yourself Yeti... For my hand is perfect!" I say. First, I activate the spell card Golden Sarcophagus! I say, putting the card down on the trunk. This card lets me banish any card from my deck, and then add it to my hand next round. For this, I will banish Dimensional Fissure! I say, then searching for it, and putting it out of play. I will then put this card face down, and then summon Kyokyomon in attack mode! Kyokyomon attack one of Yeti's Scapegoats!

''Kyokyomon ATK480/DEF240. One of Yeti's scapecoat is destroyed by Kyokyomon's normal attack!, Reyko commands as the little harmless sheep is destroyed. ''Oh and guys, just remember you have to tell me the attack the Digimon is using or else I will take it that they do a normal attack without any bonus, like I did now. Since the scapecoat have 0 DEF, it didn't really matter, but if you are battling a real digimon, please remember to add the commanded attack'', Reyko says with a very deep voice, as if King had made him say that over and over again until he learned it.

"Have fun with this move!"I smiled, before playing Prohibition. "When I play this card, it allows me to prohibit one card. However, the ones on play are excluded. And I declare... Kyokomon to be the one to be prohibited! And so, I end my turn."

''She....prohibited.....Kyokyomon....?'', Reyko asks with a very confused face and then rubs his face with the fingertips. ''Do you realize he will still be able to attack, right? Why didn't you prohibited Dimensional Fissure instead?'', Reyko asks, but he shut up right after, apparently he figured out he was speaking too much.

"Whew... Good thing she didn't do that..." I think to myself, and then I draw my card. "Hmm.... not much to do.... yet." I say out loud. "So I'll just place this Hopmon, in attack mode!" (Attack: 200 Defence: 400) "Hopmon, Kyokyomon, each of you attack one one Yeti's tokens with your normal attack!"

''Two more tokens are destroyed! And with that, only a single token remains to protect Yeti from harm. Let's see what she does to redeem herself!'', Reyko says.

"Holy crow, I'm screwed." I look around, before proceeding to look at my hand. "For now, I will play Skull Die, that allows me to roll a die and subtract from all the monsters the number on the die multiplied by 100 from their attack and defense points until the end of the turn!" I proceed to see a die before me. "After that, I will end my turn."

The die lands in 3! 300 points are subtracted from Prayer's Digimon.

''Do you realize that.....goddess...never mind...'', Reyko mutters while he facepalms.

Due to the end of the turn, the effect of Skull Die passes out!

"Man Yeti, you're just really off your game! I was hoping for a battle!" I say, drawing my next card. "First off, I'll play Dimensional Fissure! This makes it so any card sent to the graveyard, is banished instead! I will also play another Gold Sarcophagus and banish Return from a different dimension! I will also play Gigimon, in attack mode! (700 attack, 300 defense)" I say, playing those cards. "Now, Kyokomon will attack a token with her regular attack, and Gigimon and Hopmon will attack Yeti's lifepoints with Hot bite and Hop hip. That is, unless Yeti has something to do against it."

"Nope." I shrugged. "And unfortunately, I have one of the worst hands ever." I sighed, before face-palming myself. "My Yu-Gi-Oh skills got a lot worse! And so did my luck..." In short, I'm screwed. At this rate, I may forfeit.

''Well....Yeti, I shouldn't really be doing this but....no, no, never mind'', says Reyko while scratching his head in a very weird and suspicious fashion, he then look towards the ground and closes his lips tightly.

Kyokyomon destroys the last of the tokens!

"Hopefully, I finally do something smart! I'll use Dust Tornado, a card that targets 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls; destroy that target, then forces you to set 1 Spell/Trap Card, to destroy Golden Sarcophagus! And then after that I put one card facedown and end my turn."

''Gold Sarcophagus is destroyed by Dust Tornado! And with that, Return from the Different Dimension stays on the pile of Prayer's retired cards!'', Reyko says as both the Dust Tornado card and the Gold Sarcophagus are sent to their respective graveyards. ''Well, something is something'', Reyko says without much joy.

"Hmm... No matter." I say, drawing my next card. "Not much here... Then I'll just attack than" I say. "Kyokomon will attack with Metal Straw, Hopmon with Hop Hip, and Gigimon With Hot Bite." I say. "Just gotta hope..."

"Technical difficulties made my cards somehow gold!" I grinned. Hopefully, let me do something right and not get another stare-down by Reyko, I mentally sighed, before proceeding to look at my hand. "I use Germ Infection, a card that degrades a Non-Machine Type's attack by 300 attack points during the owner's standby turn, and I use it on Kyokomon! Oh and I set a card face down and end my turn."

''I will....bite my lips and say nothing this time....'', Reyko mutters while he glances around Prayer's Digimon and Yeti's facedown cards.

Reyko barely manages to suppress a smile, he seems to be enjoying this, really. It doesn't matter that the battle seems to be one sided, not anymore at least. Both opponents keep on trying and that is the first sign of a good battle. And now, there is the second one: cautiousness, Prayer must have a reason to avoid attacking and Reyko so much wants to see what he will do next. Of course, first it's Yeti's turn!

I better think fast... Yeti pondered, pacing about in her chair. The humanities.... she continued to look at her hand and then at Prayer. Maybe, just maybe. She picked out a decent card and played it. All or nothing. "I will play a card." she stuttered, not sure in herself. "I play Burst Mode Charge and equip it to Agumon, degraded due to the Germ Infection, who now has ATT 640 and DF 460 [or at least I think so. Maybe one more turn.] Burst Mode Charge, by the way, first makes me pay 1000 LP. Then, I equip it to a monster, doubling it attack for two turns. HOWEVER! After the two turns, the Digimon is destroyed and this baby right here will return to my hand!" I tried to make myself sound confident, but I wasn't sure if it would work. Oh right and my face down card.

''Not quite so...'', Reyko mutters before explaining. ''Why don't you ask if you aren't sure? Germ Infection was equipped to Kyokyomon, not Agumon. I would have stated that Agumon was losing power due to it, but only if it was actually happening! Prayer sacrificed Kyokyomon to summon Agumon and with its target going to the Graveyard, Germ Infection went to its Graveyard as well'', Reyko then sighs and continues: ''So no, Agumon has not lost any power at all. In fact, he now has 1880 ATK''. He then chugs a few times and tries to calm down, but he clearly is not used to calming down without unleashing a bit of frustration in the process.

I'll attack with all of them. Agumon will attack with Cross Fight, Hopmon with Hop Hip, and Gigimon with Hot Bite.

Agumon rushes over his master's opponent and when he is close to the girl's legs, he bites, hard....AUCH! Is the only I can think of. To make things worse, Hopmon jumps over Yeti's head several times and Gigimon rushes over and bits Yeti's other leg, leaving a burning mark on it. She is lucky that King's system is just holographic, any injuries and such received on here will disappear once the system is turned off, though I do think it still hurts. Anyway, Yeti receives 2140 of Direct Damage.

''Let's see if you can do something worth of your position, Yeti. This is one of your last chances. Use it well and don't you dare to disappoint me!'', I tell her and make the signal for her to take her turn.

Yeti's Turn.

"Now the real game begins!" the human grinned at the new card given to her. "A chance to show something off, eh?" Being an odd child, Yeti suddenly to play a card, once mysterious. "Allow me.... to..." Yeti did a little drumroll with her fingers. Then, she let out her weapon. "Snatch Steal! I get to take control of the equipped monster. During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, they gain 1000 Life Points! Of course, I have my benefits!" Yeti ended that sentence, an ending that reminded me of MG. A touch of worry came over her face for a brief moment, before she glanced at Gigimon. "Bub.. you're mine and you're in defense." she grinned, finishing off her move. "With that, I end my turn, Reyko." Her hands proceeded to dust herself off from all of those painful gashes. "I'm not ready to back down!"

Gigimon betrays Prayer and joins Yeti's force due to Snatch Steal's effect! Nice tactic

Reyko limits to bit his lips and shake his head, then grins. After taking its time (which is not shorty at all), he signals Prayer to take his turn.

"Hmm... This could be useful." I say to myself. "Let's hope this works... I play Card Destruction! We both must discard our entire hands and draw the same number of cards that they discarded from our respective Decks.

"Hum hum, alright then." the girl grinned before putting her cards in the graveyard. "No objections here. By the way... thanks for helping." Those last few words were of a concealed happiness, one ready to get new cards.
