Battling
The Battle Field
There are two sides to the battle field. Your Digimon are on one side, and the opponents Digimon on the other. Your opponent can be either a person's Digimon team, or a wild Digimon team. Each side has three spots, so you may have up to three Digimon out battling at a time (called your Party Digimon). You may also have three Digimon on standby, in case you wish to switch out or if one of your party Digimon faints.
Wild Battles
In a wild battle, you will fight one to three wild Digimon at a time, the number is chosen with the random number generator. The Digimon you battle are first determined by what kinds of Digimon are where you are searching for a fight, and then by your Digimon's stage and level. You will be able find Digimon that are from level 1, to level +3 of the level of the current highest level Digimon in your party. The level of wild Digis are determined by the random number generator, and then the stats are calculated from the level. To see how all of this stuff is done, you can see the Guide to the Helpers job in the Help forum.
These are the currently areas where you can find Digimon.

Battle Options
During Battle
When battling, you will be given different options to choose from:
Attack
Defend
Switch Out Digimon
Use Item
Run
Attack
To attack, you must first pick the attack your Digimon is going to use, and then which Digimon will be hit with it.
Defend
When defending, only 50% of the calculated damage will be dealt to the defending Digimon.
Switch Out Digimon
In the middle of a battle, if you wish to switch a Digimon in your team with a Digimon on standby, this is the option you choose. You must say which Digimon you are putting on standby, and which one you are bringing out to battle.
Use Item
You may use some items in battle. You cannot use Digivolution items in battle, but you can use things like HP Restorers, AP Restorers, Digital Revivers, anything else that says it can be used in battle.
Run
If for whatever reason, you wish to not be in a battle anymore, use this option. There is a 75% chance that you will escape from the battle. On the random number generator, 1 to 4 is generated when someone wishes to run away. If 4 is generated, then running away is not successful. If anything but 4 is generated, you have ran away.
After The Battle
After a wild Digimon battle, you will be given two options. There is only one option in a player vs player battle, so this step is not needed there. Picking either of the two options will also give you Bits. Bits are currency in the Digital World. For winning the battle, you win an amount of bits that is the sum of each level of the Digimon you have defeated multiplied by five.
Here are the options you are given.
Capture A Digimon
Absorb the EXP
Capture A Digimon
Once all of the opposing wild Digimon have fainted, you have a different capture rated depending on the stage the Digimon is.
In training - 75 % chance of capture.
Rookie - 66% chance of capture.
Champion - 50 % chance of capture.
Ultimate - 33% chance of capture.
Mega - 25% chance of capture.
You may only try and catch one. If your capture is successful, that Digimon is now yours. If it is not, each of the wild battling Digimon has half of their HP and AP restored, and you must still battle; beware. Remember, if you catch a Digimon, you do not gain any EXP from the battle.
Absorb the EXP
Once all of the opposing Digimon have fainted, you will be able to absorb the EXP gained from defeating them with this option. If you are in a player vs player battle, you absorb the EXP automatically, seeing as you can't capture another player’s Digimon. When gaining EXP, all three Digimon in the team get the EXP. It is not split.
