I was originally going to wait until betazone to post this, but honestly, I'm bored, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least start collecting ideas now (and working on the parts I can actually do now).
First off, for anybody who doesn't know, proboards is developing a new version of their forum software, Version 5. There's no release date for this yet, but it's epic, and they overhauled a lot of stuff.
That includes layouts...there's some stuff in the current layouts that just...bug me that I can't do anything about right now due to the way layouts work right now. I won't go into details, but the short of it is is that I want to fix that in V5 by making new forum layouts for us to use. And V5 actually makes this possible by making themes sooo much easier to work with.
The current layouts will still be useable for anyone who likes them. So don't freak out over that. If you really hate my layouts, than don't use them. Simple as that.
That said, I need your guys help. I'll take both suggestions for skins you want to see in V5, and general ideas for these layouts..And I'll work on your skin requests when I'm bored. You just won't be able to use them until V5.
That said, there is some rules for requesting skins:
Rules:
1. One request per user for the time being. This is to keep things fair. I might reopen these again though if I get through any existing ones.
2. One digimon per skin please. Note that the digimon can also be a repeat of what's on one of Durgon's skins, so requesting Garurumon or Beelzemon is totally okay. Note that your suggestion should be different than other suggestions in THIS thread.
3. It would be really helpful if you'd suggest more than just a digimon (unlike Durgon's polls). This means things like color schemes, and where you want each element to be on your layout are completely welcome.
4. If you're going to get creative, it might help to draw out a diagram in paint or something of what you're going for. Trying to explain position stuff by words sometimes ends up confusing me.
5. Your layout might not come out exactly how you want it to. There's limit to what I can do, and sometimes these layouts do weird stuff. I will, however, get as close as possible. So please don't freak out if it turns out wrong or something...I did what I could.
6. In that sense, I also reserve the right to not do certain things in the layout if it doesn't fit my style or I have issues with it. If this is the case, I'll at least tell you guys about it in advance as it comes up and such. We'll see how it goes.
Oh, and Durgon, you can still make layouts if you want...Same for King since you are an admin...
No form...just post your ideas and your one request and such. You can get as detailed as you want (within reason).
