The DDC 2nd B-Day Bonanza[/u]
It's finally here! The 2nd DDC Birthday event! For two awesome years, DDC has been here on Proboards, we've grown, both in content and members over these two years. We've meet new friends, and in some instances, had to say goodbye to some people we held dear, for whatever their reasons be.
It's been really great, for me personally. Never did I think DDC would grow to be anything, it was just something I wanted to do in my spare time, and while it isn't a particularly giant forum or anything, it's still way more than I even expected. Because of you awesome people who take the time to play DDC. I know people usually say the Admin of a site owns it, but really, I don't, or rather not alone. All of you members, everyone who's here, it belongs to all of you, all of us, because a forum is nothing without users, and a game is nothing without players.
To be honest, I don't even see myself as a high powered person here, I just feel like another member, and while I make alot of the content and such here, I still play it just like any other user. I've meet so many awesome people here and have become good friends with many. It probably sounds weird considering I made this and everything but, I've never been one to want to lead or be the boss of anything, I'd rather follow and assist, if I could help it that is. But this is one thing I willingly took on the leadership role of, though not alone mind you, and I am glad for it. I've never accomplished much, but DDC is definitely one of the few things I can consider an accomplishment. And why did I make DDC? To share my love of Digimon. Isn't that why we're all here to begin with? I have seen little to no Digimon related games on the internet, and the ones that are on consoles never have every Digimon, so your favorites might not be there.. but DDC, we have pretty much all Digimon available to obtain in one way or another. It started out way different than it is now, I am not aware of anyone currently active who was on the very very first version of DDC, back before the forum was even thought of, but they would know if there are any.
Now I'm probably starting to sound really sappy so I'll get to the festivites in a moment, but first I have a bunch of people to thank, people who without them, DDC wouldn't be half what it is today.
First, to my two co-Admins, Kingmana and DarkCat.
King joined very early on when the forum was first created. He was (and still is) a very active member on the site, became a helper (a damn good one at that) and then an Admin because of his great work. He's came up with great ideas to help DDC grow, and is overall one of the most helpful people I know. Thanks Kinggy!
DarkCat joined DDC before it became a forum, in what I call DDC V2. On an adoptable site known as DNAdopts, I had decided to recreate my old DDC game to play, but much differently, and she was one of the members who joined, and then migrated here to the forum when it was made. She has always been an active member, an exceptional helper and while she's only been an admin for a few months, she's already helped me tons. Thank you DC!
Next, to Razanak. He originally joined DDC back on DDC V2 on DNAdopts, though I knew him long before, he was my closest friend (and of course he still is, a bit more than that too. X3). Since he joined, and since the inception of the forum, he has been a major help to me and the site. He's given so many ideas that have made the site better, from mission and event ideas to the awesome Fanmon hes designed for events, his spritework is phenomenal. Without him, DDC would never have been possible, the number of times he's helped me with stuff on here, helping me make images, typing up posts for some things, checking my horrible spelling of course, but most of all pushing me to keep going with this. To be truthful, early on I had thought of quitting it, I was a bit frustrated with it, both the fact of how much work I had to do for it, and the fact that back then, there were very very few members, I felt all the work I was doing was for nothing. But he pushed me to keep it going, and two years later it's still going stronger than ever. He may not always be active, but even when he's busy with other things he's always willing to help me when I really need it. Raz, thank you for everything, both on DDC and real life! <3
To Lunar, who had also been by my side since DDC's inception. Her and I were great friends on DNAdopts, and was quite happy to hear when I told her I was remaking the old DDC game from years ago. She helped me come up with things to make it better than before, helped come up with the whole battle and EXP system, and was probably the very first Helper DDC ever had. When the forum was made she was automatically made into an Admin next to me, and helped me run the show for the better part of two years, from taking over for me when I was busy IRL, to making the super sexy calculator that the Helpers use that made the entire system much faster and easier to use. Regrettable, for those who weren't here at the time, Lunar disappeared both from DDC, and pretty much off the face of the Earth while I was absent a few months ago, she left no trace of herself, and no trace of why she was leaving. Lunar, where ever you are, I hope you know how much you meant to DDC and everyone here. I hope you are able to come back to DDC soon my friend, Tsune and your other Digimon are eagerly waiting for your return. Thank you for all you've done for us.
Damnationsedge, who joined early on in the first year of DDC. One of the first few users with a Fanmon on the site, Edge has since become an official Designer, not only assisting other users in making their dream Fanmon a reality, but he has also come up with a number of things for events, such as the Fanmon polls, and even an event in its entirety, the Dantemon event. Thanks Edge!
All of our current Helpers, Dragon Tamer, MGarurumon, Prayer and Yeti, I want to give a big thanks to you for all of your help! I also want to thank past helpers as well for their helpful contributions while they were helpers. ^w^

Each week this month, there will be new fun stuff to celebrate DDC's 2nd birthday! Most will be posted each Saturday, but sometimes some things might be posted on a weekday if they have to be. So, the following is stuff posted for this week of the event! Note that some of this actually last the whole event, not just for one week. ;3
The Digimon 30 Day Challenge - Each day there will be a different question posted in the 30 Day Challange board, if you wish to you can answer the question to gain points that can be spent at the end of the Event. Be sure to read the rules before posting!
2nd Birthday Raffle - Each week there will be a diferent set of raffles for you to enter into, to win fabulous prizes! This weeks is Digimon and Eggs. Be sure to check it out!
EXTRA Special Bashup - Sign up now to join the Extra Special Birthday Bashup! For those who don't know who this is, you pick one Digimon of yours to team up with a number of other users Digimon to fight a super strong Digimon! The winners of this will win fabulous prizes!
New Forum Skin - There's a new forum Skin for the event! However as of right now, it's not completely finished. XD The colors and such should be by the end of the day, and then through the event I'll be adding a few more banners. The banner changes whenever you load a page, and each one represents a different Staff member.
Currently there's only four banners made, I'm hoping to have the others done during the event. I've been doing them in the order of who's told me what it is they want on their banner. xD The current four are;
Durgon's Banner - Durgonmon and Beelzemon
Razanak's Banner - Razanamon and Cyberdramon
Lunar's Banner - Tsune (MetalGarurumon)
Yeti's Banner - Xenos (Gaomon) and Zelos (Guilmon)
As you can see, I also added a banner for Lunar, she had been here for most of the year.
