Hello and welcome. I am here to explain you the rules of this tourney. They are rather easy, so let's tackle them down quick so you can start.
First off, you are required to fill up a list of chips. We call this list a ''folder'' and you will need it in case you want to change your tactics and shift chips through the course of the tournament. A folder can be up to a total of 30 chips with no minimal amount required. That's everything you need to know about them. Now take look at the image below.
This is what we call a ''deck''. This deck contains the actual chips you are going to use during battles. Each blank space is meant to hold one and only one of your battle-chips. How does it work? Well the first two chips are randomized and you get to use the one that is chosen. Then the next two chips are randomized as well and the process repeats until you reach the last row of the battlechips. Take a look at this image to understand it better:
As you may notice, the chips that are located at the closest row are the ones that are more likely to be used during battles, that's one of the tricks of this system, the order matters and it matters quite a bunch.
What happens after the third chip is chosen? Well, your Digimon will get the chance to attack with the ability contained on it's own Datachip. Every Digimon is different, so you will be likely to found a great variety of attacks. Equip the one that fits you better. Take a look, this is were the Digimon Data Chip is located:
You have to add Digimon Data Chips to your folder as if they were a standard chip but you may only place them on the right place in the Deck . So yes, that means you can take more than 1 Digimon Data Chip to your battle if you feel like, but you will be able to load one and only one.
Now, but what's the trick here? Do we just win by having the strongest chips? Nope, because you need to prepare a good strategy in order to do so. Why? Because the amount of chips you can input on your deck is limited by the Capacity your Digimon Data Chips holds. Each chip have different sizes and power and the combined size of your chips cannot overpass the Capacity of your Digimon. Take this as an example:
Koromon has a Capacity of 120MB. If you add 6 HiCannons which have a size of 20MB you will reach the limit and you will not be able to load chips on the other three spaces left.
And how are we going to organize the deck, btw? Do we have to make an image like yours? Nopes, you can just follow a few simple numeric order for that, like the one below. Use it as reference to create your deck and send it, please.:
Is that all? Kind of, we still need to check one more thing. Take a look at this image:
Do you see those two chips that don't form part of the standard cycle of chips? Those are called Slot-in Chips and they are rather important for the course of battles. Unlike the others chips, you actually get to choose when to active and use this BattleChips by simply calling something like ''Slot-in BattleChip XX''. For example:
You need to protect yourself from a certain chip that deals a tremendous amount of damage, this chip is in the third row of your opponent, so you will have to wait until he has used its first two chips and then you Slot-In a Barrier which completely blocks a single hit. That way, you will be protected and your Slot-In would have helped you a lot. So yeah, you can state that you want to Slot-In a chip after the opponent has used a certain chip or pretty much anything.
Also, they don't count towards the Capacity of your Digimon. They actually have a special measure that is assigned to a user depending on their effort and success. For now, the Slot-In Capacity is limited to 20MB, so you may not load bigger Chips into them. Again, for now.
So, can we use them whenever we feel like? Nope. You see, there is a special gauge that fills up whenever a chip or attack is used. It starts in 0% and it increases in 5% per attack to a max amount of 100%.
What does the gauge has to do with the Slot-in Chips and why is it represented by a percentage? I think those two questions answer themselves. The gauge dictates the chances of success a Slot-in has. If the gauge is up to 60%, the chances of success of the Slot-in is 60%. If the Slot-in success, your Digimon will use the BattleChip contained on it and the gauge will deplete to 0%. If it fails, not only the gauge will deplete to 0%, but you will also lose the BattleChip. So that's the tricky part. The Slot-In chip have a great potential if you use them in the right time, but if you use it too soon, it may fail badly and if you use it too late, you could lose the battle before using it. That's what makes it interesting, right?
Now, you need some Chips to start with, so take this starter pack. It contains a few chips you can use during your battles. It's free and it comes with the registration. You can immediately add them to your folder and construct a deck with them.
You get:
>Cannon
>Minibomb x3
>Shotgun
>Recovery50

Now, if you would like to enter, just take up a form from the desk and fill it, but do not give it to me back. You have to send a PM to King with all the information required on it, so he will properly handle the information. Oh and Remember, you have until Monday 20th to handle your forms. Good luck guys!
