You can buy chips that will change the attribute of your Digimon, a change of attribute means a different boost! Remember, Data gets +5 Speed, Virus gets +5 Attack, and Vaccine gets +5 Defence, and they get +5 more for each evolution. Using the Corrupt Chip on Digimon unlock special dark evolutions of Digimon. If your Digimon reverts during an attribute change, you will lose some of your previous attribute stats, depending on which chip you used. There are 3 kinds of chips.
The Megabyte Chip: Changes your Digimon's attribute to data. Also unlocks certain special evolution paths.
The AntiVirus Chip: Changes your Digimon's attribute to vaccine. Also unlocks certain holy evolution Digimon.
The Corrupt Chip: Changes your Digimon's attribute to virus. Also unlocks certain dark evolution Digimon.
There are also 4 types of each chip.
Chip Level 1: When used, this chip will change your Digimon's attribute, but completely revert your Digimon back to its egg form.
Cost: 250
Chip Level 2: When used, this chip will change your Digimon's attribute but it will cause a data loss of five levels with a chance of getting your Digimon devolved if it doesn't meet the level requirements.
Cost: 500
Chip Level 3: When used, this chip will change your Digimon's attribute but it will cause a data loss of three levels with a chance of getting your Digimon devolved if it doesn't meet the level requirements.
Cost: 750
Chip Level 4: When used, this chip will change your Digimon's attribute. Since this is the ultimate and best version of the chips, your Digimon will no lose any data in terms of level and stage.
Cost: 1000
