Hello fellow trainers, I am GrapLeomon, the Weapon Master and I am here to train you with the arts of a true warrior.
First off, you must be aware that being a warrior is a tough work. You require a lot of sacrifice and will to become one, you can just become one from a day to another just by lifting a sword.
But if you do have the patience and desire to learn, you are welcome to my dojo. I will train you personally and make sure to turn you in the best warrior of history.
So, before you decide to join or not, let me give you a quick revision on how Weapons work. You have a total of four categories of weapons: Sharp, Long, Heavy and Bows. Inside of each categories there are even more kinds of weapons, like Sais and Swords for Sharp, Spears and Trident for Long and Frail and Axes for Heavy, but that doesn't really matter that much as all the weapons from the same category behave on a similar way.
There is also a circular cycle of weapons. This cycle only applies if both you and your opponent carry are wielding weapons at the same time so it's mainly meant for PvP and certain Boss Battles. This is how the cycle works:
>> Sharp beats Heavy - Example: Sword beats Axe.
>> Long beats Sharp - Example: Spear beats Sword
>> Heavy beats Long - Example: Axe beats Spear.
Those who have an advantage over others will deal twice the normal damage, so it's always good to be aware of what the opponents are wielding. Also, take in mind Bows are out of the cycle, they have no advantage or disadvantage and they require Arrows to be used, or else they are useless.
Now let's talk about Grades. A Grade is the current skill you have with a category of weapons. Without a weapon, you are considered Grade F, as you haven't had a single taste of what a weapon could do for you in battle. Luckily, you are quickly upgraded to Grade E as soon as you equip a weapon, but that, little pupil, doesn't mean at all that you are good at it, in fact, you will probably be plain terrible.
If you really want to progress you must continue using the weapon in battle till you fill a bar of progress (Take in mind that equipping the weapon is not enough, you have to use the Moves the weapons give you in order to progress further, you won't progress if you keep using your Digimon's normal moves). Once you do that, you will bring your weapon and butt here and I will teach you what you need to know in order to progress to the next Grade. You will continuously do this with the objective in mind of reaching Grade A, which is the best I can do for you, as I can't do miracles.
And why would you want to obtain a higher Grade? Simply because the higher the Grade you have, the stronger your moves with the category of weapons will be. Also, certain weapons, like the rare or legendary ones, require high grades in order to be equipped or to obtain a certain SP they offer.
And how do you know what Grade are you on? Well, when you first equip a weapon you will be given a Summary Move of the category it belongs to if you don't have it already. This Summary Move, as the name clearly states, will be the summary of the Grade you have with that category of weapons, but it will also be the basic move you can perform in order to attack with the weapon, and the one you are going to use from the beginning to the end. The Summary Move increases in power if you increase Grades, so that's another reason to start swinging your weapons at your opponent instead of being sitting there. Oh and there are different Summary Moves for each category, of course:
>> Sharp Weapons - Slash
>> Long Weapons - Lunge
>> Heavy Weapons - Smash
>> Bows - Archery
Take in mind you can have as many Summary Moves as you want provided you have been training with all kind of weapons. That means you can totally carry a Sword and a Bow in battle to use them both. Just take in mind that the progress with one doesn't affect the progress with the others, basically, you will not aim better with the bow if you keep swinging your sword like a dancey master.
Well, with most of the explanation left behind, I can now officially sell my services. I don't work for free, but I do think my knowledge and time (mostly time) is worth of the money you will have to pay me. Here is a little chart that shows each service with their costs:
And this is the form you have to use for my services. Just post it on a new thread in this board.
